Day 1
Personal Narratives
Whenever we find ourselves procrastinating or failing at something we set out to accomplish, it's often easy to fall into old patterns of harmful self-talk. "I'm so lazy!" or "I never get anything done" have crossed my mind plenty of times. But what if we could get beneath the frustration to figure out what's going on?
In today's exercise, you'll begin unearthing some of the narratives that shape your time management (or lack thereof). Ideas you have about work, rest, or what it means to be a responsible/successful/has-their-s***-together adult, etc all contribute to how you see yourself and how you operate in the world.
By bringing some of our assumptions into the light, we can begin to excavate why they are there, where they came from, and how they are affecting us.
